SUMMARY:XXI ISA World Congress of Sociology
DESCRIPTION:Global Sociology in Turbulent Times\nThe visual identity of the XXI ISA World Congress of Sociology draws on the forms of the Korean alphabet (Hangul) and the cultural heritage of the host city\, Gwangju. Its shapes\, inspired by the consonants of the city’s name\, evoke inclusivity\, connection and the coming together of diverse voices. \nA vibrant palette of coral\, pink\, purple and green reflects both traditional Korean aesthetics and the energy of a complex and changing world. Through overlapping forms and flowing gradients\, the design suggests movement\, dialogue and the interplay of different perspectives. \nThe result presents Gwangju as a dynamic meeting point for global sociology\, echoing the Congress theme\, “Global Sociology in Turbulent Times\,” and emphasising exchange\, diversity and mutual understanding.
